Meera Balasubramanian is a dedicated Bharatanatyam teacher with a reputation for excellence in training students to reach their highest potential. As CEO and Artistic Director of Kalpavriksha Fine Arts (KFA), she has successfully guided numerous students, many of whom have completed their debut Arangetram, an essential milestone in their classical dance journey. Her approach to teaching emphasizes both technical precision and a deep understanding of Bharatanatyam's cultural roots, nurturing students who are skilled, thoughtful performers. She has guided many students perform their arangetram, solo debut program. Under her leadership, KFA has presented over 15 major productions, each earning acclaim for its cultural richness and innovative storytelling. Notable productions, such as Kasi - Dance of Infinity and Ram Katha, have showcased her unique vision, blending tradition with fresh perspectives. As a cultural ambassador, she was recently nominated by Singapore’s National Arts Council to represent Singapore in the ASEAN cultural project in Malaysia, affirming her significant role in the arts. With over 200 students currently training at KFA, Meera's impact on the community extends beyond performances; she fosters a love for the arts and a commitment to cultural preservation, inspiring her students to carry forward Bharatanatyam’s legacy for generations to come.

Thangammal Subramanian is a professionally qualified Bharatanatyam artiste and has completed her Master in Fine Arts, Bharatanatyam from Sastra University, Tanjore . She is also a commerce graduate. She has been under the tutelage of Smt.Meera Srikanth during her residence in Dubai, and continued pursuing her interests in Bharatanatyam (Kalakshetra Bani) under the tutelage of Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra, who is the youngest of the trio sisters and a senior most disciple of the Padmabushan Dhananjayans and Padmabushan Kalanidhi Narayanan. She is a graded artiste for dance by the Doordarshan, India. She devotes all her time to her passion – Bharatanatyam and is an avid follower of classical arts.
Naina Arani

Naina Arani is a professional homeopathy doctor and a dedicated Kathak dancer. She began her Kathak training at the age of seven at National Institute of Kathak Dance now known as Kathak Kendra in New Delhi and continued her learning briefly in Bengaluru in Dr. Maya Rao’s institute. In Singapore, she successfully completed eight years of continuous training in 2022 at Apsaras Arts Academy under Guru Shivangi Dake Robert and Avenav Mukherjee. Over the past decade, Naina has performed extensively in dance and community events, both with her academy and independently. She has attended Kathak workshops by renowned Kathak dancers such as Pt. Birju Maharaj, Kumudini Lakhia, Vidha Lal, Gauri Diwakar, Vaishali Trivedi to name a few. A proud Singapore citizen with deep cultural ties to India, Naina continues her training with Avenav Mukherjee, with stage performances being her forte.

Swathi's journey in the realm of Indian classical dance reflects her deep commitment and passion for the art form. Initiated into Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Smt. Subha, a disciple of the Dhananjayans, Swathi underwent rigorous training under Acharya Dr. S Divyasena, culminating in her Arangetram in 2010. Upon moving to Singapore and immersing herself in Kathak under Guru Mulla Afsar Khan at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS), Swathi broadened her artistic horizons. She holds a Kathak Diploma from SIFAS and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Kathak from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth under guru Afasr Khan's guidance. Beyond dance technique, she has explored music composition, choreography, makeup, and stage presentation, enriching her artistic expression.
